I bought this for my husband who absolutely loves it. It's a great size and works brilliantly. He's currently trying to figure out how to mount it onto his laptop so he can watch it while he works :) certainly earned me some brownie points. Good job x
My husband was really thrilled with this, he had been talking about it for a while and I’m glad I bought it for him. The setup didn’t work immediately we had to turn the screen off and on again but since then it’s been working perfectly
I don’t think I could have made my husband happier than when he set up his train departure board. It sits above his desk, and he delights in telling me whether the trains are on time or delayed. Wish I’d saved it for a Christmas surprise, but who’s got the patience when you’re giving joy to someone?
I like the idea, it's fun, and the display is excellent - crisp, clear and the perfect yellow/orange shade. The setup process is a pretty clunky, the built in web page is primitive to ay the least, but once you have the necessary token, all is good.
Station filtering is a bit hit and miss - often saying there are no imminent trains, then recovering itself when exactly the same filter is reapplied, and the clock on the unit is 1 minute behind my computer's clock, which surprised me, but perhaps is a National Rail thing. All the trains are also showing as departing 'on time', which I find hard to believe - my service is Southern/Thameslink, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.
I don't know if there will ever be any firmware updates to fix this, or even if that's possible. It feels like a few fixes would be useful. But a nice addition to my desk.
What a wonderful addition to my study desk! I can hear the trains at my local station and now I can see where they are heading! The device was easy to set up and I got it going within a few minutes of arrival. My one criticism is that the USB cable is integrated rather than having a USB socket in the back of the device that can accept a separate cable. Also pleased that there are no ongoing costs or subscriptions.
